Moving scenes took place recently in a hospital in the city of Malaga, Spain, when doctors took a four-month baby who had been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus off the ventilator that had been breathing for him.
The baby has been hospitalized in the Materno Infantil de Malaga Hospital for approximately three weeks; however, his condition is finally progressing well.
Physicians at the Spanish hospital are now considering the idea of transferring the child from the intensive care unit to a pediatric ward.
Spain has been hit relentlessly by the coronavirus pandemic, and considering its smaller population compared to that of Italy, it is the worst hit European nation in terms of deaths and overall cases so far.
