The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs created and launched this week a new website dedicated to assisting British subjects living in Greece after Brexit.
The website features a variety of informative articles about many aspects of life after the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, which is projected to take place on March 29, 2019.
The website, both in English and Greek, includes valuable information both for the thousands of Britons who reside permanently in Greece and for the millions of British citizens who visit the country for their holidays every year.
The areas that are covered by the website include questions regarding passport controls and visas following Britain’s exit, as well as the much thornier issues of citizenship, trade and elections.
Greece has already declared that it will fully protect the rights of Britons who reside in Greece in case the UK leaves the European Union without an agreement with Brussels.
The UK is set to leave the EU on March 29, but a delay is now seen as a possibility as Prime Minister May has already admitted that Brexit could be delayed for a short period of time.
