Greek tourism will be promoted in the first Mediterranean Panorama exposition that will take place in Sweden in March 17-19, 2017.
The tourism fair, expected to be the biggest in Scandinavia, is organized by North Events and will take place in an area of 8,000 square meters at the Stockholm Exhibition Center (Stockholmsmässan).
The main pillar of the Mediterranean Panorama will be Greece, while the other destinations to be promoted are Croatia, Malta, Portugal, Cyprus, Tunisia, Israel and Turkey.
The exposition will be supported by all major tour operators of Scandinavia who will participate with stands and multiple events for the public.
During the Professionals Day, March 17, 2017, there will be a significant action for the tourism sector, namely the conference for the International Year of Sustainable Tourism Development, as 2017 has been declared by the United Nations and the World Tourism Organization as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism.
In that context, North Events in collaboration with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and the Greek Nature Protection Society are organizing the first Conference on Greece, and Mediterranean countries in which green practices in the tourism industry will emerge.
Additionally, on Professionals Day the first UNESCO Conference on Mediterranean Diet will be held. Specifically, the exposition is under the auspices of UNESCO. North Events has signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Greek National Commission for UNESCO to raise awareness and promote the cultural heritage of Greece and its natural wealth. The Mediterranean Diet conference aims to promote Greece as a destination for high-income visitors, as national cuisine is an integral part of the cultural heritage of each destination.
