‘The Lobster’ Receives 2016 BAFTA Nomination

The_Lobster_Lanthimos_filmGreek director Yorgos Lanthimos’ first English-speaking film “The Lobster” is among the six films nominated for Outstanding British Film of the Year in the 2016 British Academy Film and Television Arts awards.

The film, staring Collin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Lea Seydoux and Olivia Colman, revolves around a hotel where people have 45 days to find a love partner or else they become animals.

Aside from this latest nomination, “The Lobster” has won nine awards, including the Jury Prize for Lanthimos at the Cannes Film Festival earlier in the year, and has been nominated for another 16.

The BAFTAs take place on February 14, 2016.
