AIA CEO Yiannis Paraschis Named Airport Chief Executive of the Year

paraschisAthens International Airport CEO Yannis Paraschis was named Airport Chief Executive of the Year, a few days ago in Helsinki, for his pioneering work in the airport of Athens and his contribution to the international airport industry.

As part of this year’s 2015 World Aviation Summit of CAPA, the leading international provider of independent aviation market intelligence, analysis and data services, Yiannis Paraschis received the CAPA Airport Chief Executive of the Year award.

Yiannis Paraschis was the first airport CEO that the independent expert committee singled out, due to his career and the impact he has had in the industry, through his strategic thinking and introducing innovative approaches that have made a difference in the global air transport market.

The award to the Greek CEO is a very substantial distinction and acknowledgement of the remarkable achievements of Athens International Airport despite the challenging market conditions and the extremely difficult macroeconomic situation in Greece. Athens International Airport and its CEO, have provided an excellent example of improvement and stabilization, despite the financial difficulties caused by the crisis.

On the occasion of his selection as “Airport Chief Executive of the Year,” Dr. Paraschis said: “I feel deeply honored with this distinction, which comes from the world leaders of independent aviation market intelligence.
