Many Turks have expressed admiration for Alexis Tsipras and the new Greek government that is defying pressures to yield on austerity.
According to a report in To Vima newspaper Turkish women, in particular, express support for Tsipras in the social media.
A graffiti on an Istanbul wall highlights the admiration many Turks feel, says the paper. It reads: “Bizi de kurtar, Aleksis,” ie “Save us too Alexis.”
