Greek photographer Vagelis Giotopoulos has received many awards in his field on a domestic but also on an international level. However, this time he managed to sweep the majority of the awards at the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers convention.
Giotopoulos has been working as a wedding photographer in Ioannina, northern Greece, for many years and has won several international distinctions along with his brother Alexandros. Last week, on January 17, at the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers convention in London, he received the following awards: Photographer of the Year Media, Photographer of the Year Portrait, Photographer of the Year Travel and a special award as the Overall Winner of the Highest Golds.
Some 17,000 photographers from across the globe participated in this year’s convention, with more than 30,000 submissions.
Furthermore, five more of Giotopoulos’ photographs won the print competition in the Wedding, Portrait, Media and Documentary categories, while one of his brother’s photographs won in the Wedding Category.
