Body Found in Crete is Missing Man Arthur Jones Confirms Son

Arthur JonesA body found in Crete, Greece, is that of missing Denbigh pensioner Arthur Jones, his son has confirmed.
Jeff Jones said his father’s body, which was found in a “very remote area” of the Greek Island was formally identified on Tuesday night.
Mr Jones, 73, who was a keen walker, had not been seen since 19 June – two days after he arrived for a holiday.
His son said Mr Jones died peacefully and arrangements were being made to bring his body home.

Speaking earlier in the week Jeff Jones thanked supporters for their help in searching for his father.
“It is deeply upsetting and a big shock to finally receive some news but it comforting to know he was doing something he enjoyed, he said.
“We as a family would like to thank everyone for their support, help and contribution in a quest to find my father since he went missing six weeks ago.”
