German Parliament Offers Scholarships to Greeks

studentsThe German Parliament, within the framework of the International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) program, is giving the chance to 120 graduates from Greece, Turkey and Cyprus to participate in events, seminars and internships in the Parliament.

The IPS program is carried out each year since 1986 from March 1 to July 31 in collaboration with the universities of Berlin. It offers a first-hand experience of Germany‘s system of parliamentary government, as it involves placements with Members of the German Parliament.

The applicants must be under the age of 30 at the start of the scholarship, have a university degree and perfect knowledge of the German language.

The scholarships cover insurance, travel expenses, accommodation and offer a monthly allowance of 450 euros. For the Greek applicants, the deadline is August 31, 2014 and applications should be submitted to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Athens.
