Bastille Day was celebrated in France yesterday, July 14. This year, the grand celebration was combined with the 100th anniversary since the start of the World War I.
The president of the French Republic, Francois Hollande, was present during the parade in which contingents from 80 countries participated.
The presence of three Greek Evzones of the Presidential Guard during the parade made a great impression to the attendants. By sending the three Evzones, Greece honored the important French anniversary.
