A cultural club from the Greek island of Chios will represent Greece in the International Folk Dance Festival in Istanbul which is held by the Fatih Municipality. The festival will take place from April 22 to April 25. The event will be held outside Hagia Sophia where each group will sing their national anthem.
The board of the club thanked the dance instructor, Anna Mimidis, who helped the group participate in the festival. They stated that her courage, her diligence and passion for Greek dance and tradition have contributed to the prominence of the club. The troupe consists of 24 dancers, each passionate about Greek traditional dance.
The members of the group have expressed their excitement about their participation in the festival and have asked all residents of Chios to support them and send them positive energy.
