gavrasThe ban on Twitter imposed in Turkey by Prime Minister Erdogan’s government has caused intense reactions among the Turkish people, with some protesters using the work of famousĀ Greek-French filmmaker Costas Gavras to criticize the policy.

Protesters posted on the internetĀ a scene from of Gavras’ State of Siege in which university students blast the revolutionary song Hasta SiempreĀ through loudspeakers. In the clip, police officers try to prevent them, but cannot.
