Austrian Magazine Hails the Beauty of Mykonos and Santorini

Santorini jpg“Summer breeze instead of an economic crisis. Mykonos and Santorini will be once again flooded by tourists this July and August, but anyone wishing to see the quiet side of the Cycladic islands should visit them earlier in the year,” read the introduction of a five-page tribute to both Cycladic islands in the new issue of the weekly Austrian magazine “News.”

The tribute stressed that the direct flights of the two Austrian airlines “AUA” and “Niki” to Mykonos make the trip to the two islands easy and quick.

Mykonos is an 88 square kilometer area with 200 beaches. The sea is just ten minutes from the airport and visitors can choose between the two main sides of the island — the partying side or the romantic side.

The article goes on to describe all the famous beaches of the island which range from crowded hotspots that attract many people from the far reaches of the world and others that offer peace and quiet.

As for Santorini, it is mentioned as being one of the most beautiful islands in Greece and it is considered by many to be part of ancient Atlantis. Santorini attracts a large variety of people; tourists with private yachts, party animals, young people celebrating their graduation, or couples who simply want to indulge in the unbelievably romantic side of the island.

News magazine emphasized that in order to enjoy the beauty of Santorini, tourists should visit the islands before July or in September.

The article concludes by giving potential tourists different options on how to travel to Santorini and Mykonos, where to stay and eat and proposes many events and opportunities for excursions.
