Visitors of the National Geographic store in London will have the chance to admire the natural beauty of Peloponnese, southern Greece, through an interactive event from February 17 to 24, in Knightsbridge, west London.
“It is an amazing experience not only for those who adore the Peloponnese, but also for London’s citizens who want to learn about life there,” reported the director of the store to Athens Press Agency. “The natural beauty of the Peloponnese as well as its unique history can inspire everyone. People who have visited the Greek peninsula were impressed by the amazing flavors and local hospitality” he added.
Guests will have the opportunity to discover the Peloponnese through information brochures, photography exhibition and tasting sessions of Greek traditional products. They will also learn about the famous Epidaurus festival the most important of the Peloponnesian events and adventurous activities such as bungee jumping at the Isthmus of Corinth. “The event aims to promote the Peloponnese as the top tourist destination of 2014,” said the organizers.
A British journalist who specializes in tourists guides for Greece stated that he was very impressed by the event. “I’m particularly impressed by the variety of products from the region. I must admit that although I visit Greece at least once a year, I didn’t know many of the local products,” he said.
The event will also take place in other European cities such as Paris, Vienna, Munich, Düsseldorf and Stockholm.
