The latest film of Yiannis Economides, “To mikro psari” (Little Fish), will participate in the competition of the 64th Berlin International Film Festival. The Festival will take place February 6-16.

The film, a social drama, revolves around the protagonist, Stratos, who works at a bakery at night and is a hit-man by day. He gathers money to support the escape of Leonidas, the man who saved his life and who is in prison. He owes his life to Leonidas, and Stratos does not forget his debts. While he goes deeper, Stratos, however, realizes that he has more unpaid debts than he initially believed. In order to come out from the situation safe and sound, he makes a perfect plan…one last mission.

Among other Greek actors that appear in the movie are Vaggelis Mourikis, Vicky Papadopoulou and Petros Zervos. The movie is expected to be released in 2014.

Greece’s last appearance at the Berlin Festival was two years ago with the movie “Meteora,” from Greek director Spyros Stathoulopoulos.
