Greece was promoted as an important destination for conferences and company meetings within the framework of a Symposium that took place in Vienna under the auspices of the Union of National Tourism Organizations in Austria.
Among the attendees of the event were 52 enterprises from the tourism sector, the medical sector, the bank sector as well as travel agents and hotels.
Three Greek companies, namely the agency “Congress World” as well as the hotels “Avra Imperial” and “Rodos Palace” took part in the Symposium through the stand of Austria and had the opportunity to be informed on the Austrian Market of Company Meetings.
The new director of the offices of the Greek National Tourism Organization in Austria, Athina Mpampakou along with the Tourism Market Executive, Maria Lemoni presented the perspectives of organizing conferences and trips for company meetings in Greece.
It is notable that Greece ranks first among the favourite tourism destinations of Austrians, since 500,000 Austrian visit Greece for their holidays every year.
