Greek Medical Health Tourism Workshop in Moscow

Greek Medical & Health Tourism Workshop MoscowOn October 30, the 2nd Greek Medical & Health Tourism Workshop will be held in Moscow. Eleven businesses, among which, private hospitals, rehabilitation centers and hotels with spa facilities have applied to participate, aiming at the development of medical tourism in Greece.

Despite the increased number of Russian tourists who visited Greece this year, at a rate exceeding 30%, surpassing 1,2 million visitors, Greece is still an unknown destination for Russians in terms of health travel, as shown during the first Greek Medical Tourism Workshop last May, where 14 companies participated.

Among the businesses who have applied to participate in the 2nd workshop is Metropolitan, the IASO group, while there’s a great increase in the participation of kidney centers. Municipalities with thermal springs and baths are also interested in participating, as the Russians are very interested in spa tourism, even on an investment level.

The event is organized by the company Tourism Today in cooperation with ATOR (Association of Tour Operators of Russia), the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies and the Greek Embassy in Moscow, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) and the Greek Chamber of Hotels.

A total of 15 participants will be able to register for the event.
