f52330679653ffe83f5c9bdc2dd1b549_MSouthampton-based Swan Hellenic will sail a replica of the cruise line’s first-ever voyage in 2014 in the occasion of the company’s 60th anniversary of cruising, visiting Nauplia, Delos and Santorini in Greece and going through the Corinth canal.

The Diamond Anniversary voyage on board Minerva is a 15-day cruise holiday following the route of Swan’s Hellenic first itinerary where 128 passengers traveled with four classical history experts around the Greek islands back in August 1954.

The Diamond Anniversary cruise is now on sale along with Swan Hellenic’s 2014/15 program, featuring destinations including the Baltic, Black Sea, Adriatic, Mediterranean, India and the Far East.

Highlights of the 2014 season include a circumnavigation of South America, with such destinations as Lima,  the Panama Canal, the Chilean Fjords, and Port Stanley in the Falklands.

During summer 2014, Minerva returns to her UK homeport of Portsmouth, offering seven no-fly sailings to Scandinavia, Finland and Iceland plus a one-off Reflections of France voyage, marking the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landing and the Great War centenary.

Fly-cruises are available from July 2014 to the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Aegean in the late summer. In November 2014 Minerva will head to the Far East, sailing to India, Oman, Burma and Indochina.
