European Academics Honored in Nuremberg

Festival of Greek Thessalians of EuropeEuropean academics, lovers of Thessaly and ambassadors of Greek culture, were honored at the 9th Festival of Greek Thessalians of Europe, which took place in Nuremberg.

The people honored were Bruno Helly from Lyon, France, for his initiative that led to the creation of the General File of Thessalian Inscriptions, Reinder Reinders from Groningen, Netherlands, head of a large research team under the auspices of the Netherlands Institute in Athens, who has brought to light the ancient city Alos in the region of Almyros, and Slawomir Sprawski from Krakow in Poland, Director of the Institute of History of the Jagiellonian University, who has been teaching History of Ancient Thessaly for many years.
