The exhibition Agricultural August, that aims at highlighting and promoting quality Cretan products, will be in Munich, from July 13-15 to show off the island’s best.
Agricultural August is an annual event, organized by the region of Crete, the regional section of Chania and the Commercial-Industrial Chamber of Chania. It takes place in Chania and actually celebrates the area’s agricultural focus. Its main goal is that producers come into contact with consumers, and inform them of their activities by showcasing their products.
Last year, the exhibition also traveled to Athens and Thessaloniki. This year’s exhibition will be also accompanied by actions such as e-books issuing, which will list all the Cretan quality products designated as PDO (Protected Designation of Origin), PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) as well as organic products, both in Greek and English. The book Cretan Diet Calendar 2013 is expected to be translated and adapted in German, under the title The Cretan Diet in the Four Seasons of the Year.
