Ceramicist Papaioannou Praised in Spain

IMG_9602_sGreek art has once again been distinguished abroad. Ceramicist Vassilis Papaioannou has managed to stand out in Spain with his participation in the 5th International Meeting, at the framework of the 18th Contest Ciudad de Valladolid in Valladolid, Spain.

It was his sixth participation in an international competition abroad, including previously in Austria, Spain, Hungary, Switzerland and Slovenia.

The Greek ceramicist was lauded in Spain over his work ZZZ I, ​​a ceramic work made by porcelain mixing and black clay. Twenty ceramicists from 10 countries around the world are taking part in this exhibition which began on Jan. 9.

Papapioannou was born in Patras in 1972 and studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patrai. He has attended Studies in Painting with Painter Magda Kounousou-Raftopoulou, Photography at the County Committee of Popular Education of Patras andCeramics at the Visual Art Workshop of The Municipality of Patras.

He is studying European Culture Studies in School of Humanities of Hellenic Open University and works at the municipality of Patrai as a Computer Engineer. In 2004 his Photography Album Carnival FaceWriting was published by Erasitexniko Sxhma Patras REFENE.
