Eurimages FundsThree Greek Co-production Films

eurimagesThree Greek co-production films, presented in the last Eurimages meeting, secured the amount of 500,000 euros. Co-production fund announced the final selections for 2012 after their board meeting at the Dubai International Film Festival last week.

The board consists of representatives from its 36 member states. The Greek Film Centre was represented by Alexis Grivas.

The films which are going to be funded are: The German-Cypriot co-production, The Six Fingers, directed by Giannis Economides, with 250,000 euros. The Turkish-Greek-German-French co-production, I Am Not Him, directed by Tayfun Perselimoglu, with 150,000 euros, and Modris, directed by Juris Kursietis, with 100,000 euros, which is a Latvian-Greek-German co-production.

Eurimages is the Council of Europe fund for the co-production, distribution, exhibition and digitization of European cinematographic works. It aims to promote the European film industry by encouraging production and distribution of films, and fosters co-operation among professionals
