A promotion if Zakynthos is taking place through Dec. 9 in two of the best known Greek restaurants in Vienna under the slogan Zakynthos Week, sponsored by 20 businesses from the Ionian island.
Among other experiences, customers can enjoy a little taste of Zakynthos cuisine that will be prepared using ingredients and product from the island’s fare.
The International Tourism Fair is an annual event that Zakynthos Hoteliers Association have participated in for many years now along with the Region of Ionian Islands. The next event will be held Jan.10-13, 2013.
Island businesses hope that showcasing itself in Vienna will lead to more Austrian tourists coming to visit to boost the economy, which, like other destinations in Greece, has been impacted by the ongoing economic crisis.
