Radio presenter and producer Giorgos Markakis got special commendation at Prix Europa in the category of radio music program, for the World Stage program, co-produced with the Norwegian state radio NRK, launched in October of 2011 on Kosmos ERT radio station live broadcast from Copenhagen.
Prix Europa is Europe’s most renowned competition festival for television, radio and the emerging media. This year’s ceremony took place in Berlin on Oct. 27.
This program was proposed in Prix Europea by NRK, where it was also broadcast and featured an interview with guitarist and composer Justin Adam. The Warsaw Variations program won the first place in BBC Radio 4 category.
