Even while Greece’s financial crisis is hurting the market for books, many Greek publishers are going to take part in the 64th Frankfurt Book Fair, a prestigious event for the industry, which this year runs from Oct. 10-14, featuring New Zealand as this year’s honored country.
The Greek publishers pavilion has been prepared by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports and the National Book Centre of Greece, and will operate at three positions. The biggest is for publishers who paid a fee to participate while the other two will be dedicated to thematic exhibitions to promote the Greek publishing industry.
Publishers taking part are: Agra, Estia, Kastaniotis, Livanis, Patakis, Anaplous, Children’s Psychological Health Center, Ianos, Ion, Kazatzakis Publications, Kalendis, Karidaki, Kondili, Kivos, Melani, Metehmio, Nefeli, Papadopoulos, Archeological resources, To Thio Fos and Farai. The Greek Culture Foundation and Greek National Tourism Organization will also be present.
