“Loukanikos” Bar Opens in Madrid After Famous Greek Riot-Dog

Loukanikos, the Greek dog attending all massive riots in Athens downtown for the past year, has become so popular over time that a bar was named after him in Madrid.

The bar is located close to a popular area occupied by the Spanish counter-culturists and has become a meeting point for everyone interested in politics and the arts. The bar’s walls are decorated with Loukanikos’ pictures shot during last summer’s protests in Syntagma Square, Athens.

Yiannis Adamis discovered “Loukanikos” bar while wandering the streets of Madrid during his own photo exhibition on view for Spanish audiences.
