German FA Minister Westerwelle Scolds Bild Newspaper for Inappropriate Remarks Against Greece

German Foreign Affairs Minister Guido Westerwelle decided to restrain “Bild” newspaper from its outpouring of inappropriate remarks and the constant criticizing and humiliating articles against Greece.

“The whole writing team of ‘Bild’ should at some point take a 4-week-vacation to Greece. When it comes to Greece, the newspaper wasn’t that well- oriented,” stated Minister Westerwelle suggesting that the challenging headlines and the unacceptable remarks should come to an end.

The spiteful remarks of “Bild” writers against our country have disturbed the German FA Minister who is not even known as a ‘fan’ of Greece. Imagine that!

For the record, “Bild” is no well-respected newspaper. According to surveys conducted by German agencies on newspaper readability, 2/3 of its readers are men with lower to middle education. Only 4% of its total readers have pursued an academic career. Only an overall 18% of the German public reads the notorious newspaper, which is regarded rather ‘low-level’ compared to other well-respected dailies.
