Spyros Kostadimas was elected President of the Pan Epirotic Federation of Europe by the members of the Federation, who recompensed his long lasting contribution to the Pan Epirotic issues.
The Federation meeting took place in Frankfurt, Germany and included representatives of several Unions and Associations from all around Europe. The great number of young people taking part in these European Associations is thought to be extraordinary.
The outbound President of the Federation, Ilias Galanos, who did not run for the elections, was honored by the President of the World Council of Epirotes Abroad, Chrysostomos Dimou.
Epirotes of the world, despite living hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from their homecountry, have never forgotten their places of origin – Ioannina, Preveza, Arta and Thesprotia always bring good thoughts to their minds.
From Australia, Europe, America or elsewhere, they take care of Epirus and its people and try, every way they can, to help them. One of the issues they pay special attention to is Hellenic Studies and the Greek language.
