Greek Educator Awarded at 2012 “Microsoft Partners in Learning” European Forum

Greek educator, Dimitris Rammos, was awarded at this year’s “Microsoft Partners in Learning” European Forum, which was held in Lisbon and was attended by 250 educators and teachers from 40 European countries.

According to the announcement of Microsoft Hellas, Dimitris Rammos from the 32rd Municipal Elementary School of Piraeus won the second award in the category “Knowledge Building” for his work “Interactive Geometry”. Rammos’ project presents a differential educational approach to specific geometry concepts. With this distinction, Rammos has secured his participation in the coming Microsoft European Forum to take place in November in Athens.

This year, out of a total of 84 participations, 24 innovative educational proposals have been awarded by the judging committee of 30 experts.

A further distinction was bestowed to Greek-Cypriot Maria Loizou Raouna, in the category “Collaboration”.

The “Microsoft Partners in Learning” European Forum is annually organized within the initiatives of Microsoft in serving educational purposes since 2003.
