Professional Education by the German-Hellenic Business Association and the German Railways

In collaboration with the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn AG), the German-Hellenic Business Association (DHW) is promoting the program “Bridge for Specialization and Integration”. The program aims at the professional orientation of students of Greek schools in North Rhine–Westphalia.

The vocational education department of the German Railways and the team of the DHW program visited Greek schools in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Wuppertal and Dortmund, where they presented the opportunities the German Railways offer.

German Railways employs 290,000 persons and offers vocational education courses to more than 9,000 trainees for 25 professions, as reported by the DHW. The trainees have a great deal of chances to find a job in the German Railways after completing the courses. The Greek language is considered to be a pro for people applying for a job.
