Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Belgrade Hosts Photo Exhibition “Balkan Odyssey”

The Centre of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Belgrade, Kneza Milosa 14, will host American Lisa Quinones’ photo exhibition entitled “Balkan Odyssey”, from January 19 to February 3.

The exhibit will display different travel impressions from the Balkan countries, while every single photo will encapsulate and interpret the common culture found among the Balkan people.

The exhibition will officially open on January 19, at 8:30 p.m. after a concert of Balkan music, Greek folk songs and Arias in honor of Maria Callas, featuring Patricia Sands, US Soprano, and Vladimir Gligoric, Serbian pianist.

The concert takes place from 7:30 – 8:30 pm and reservations are required for the performance as seating is limited (call 011-362-8550 to reserve a seat for the performance.). The exhibition requires no RSVP.

Lisa Quinones has graduated from Cornell University of NY, USA, and has worked for years for the Black Star Photo Agency. Examples of her work have also been published by major newspapers and magazines, such as Time, Newsweek, Business Week, People, GEO, Stern, Der Spiegel and Τhe New York Times. For the last two and a half years she has been living in Belgrade.
