Greek Ambassador to Latvia Praised for Promoting Greek-Latvian Bilateral Relations

Latvian prime minister, Valdis Dombrovskis, has praised Greece’s Latvian ambassador Chryssanthie Panagiotopoulou for her work in promoting bilateral relations in forestry investment as well as other investment areas.

Ms Panagiotopoulou stressed her belief that Latvia should become a positive example for other countries, according to Baltic Course. She was speaking with the prime minister in Riga as part of a farewell visit in which she said work was underway on a joint alternative energy conference.

The first nine months of 2011 saw the trade turnover of Latvia and Greece amount to €13.4 million, making Greece 57th highest among the foreign trade partners of Latvia.This has increased by 78.26 per cent compared with the same period the year before.
