After the triumph in Bulgaria and Mexico, Elliniko Theatro sets sail for the Odessa with a performance scheduled for the 10th of November. This play will be performed with the Leventis Foundation as the main sponsor and under the aegis of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Yiannis Simonides will star as Socrates as he goes on trial for his life. You will be able to hear the philosopher face his accusers with his trademark wit, cutting logic, and courage of his convictions. Consider his arguments on virtue, justice, politics, civic duty, love of life and hope in death, and draw your own judgement.
The director of the play is Loukas Skipitaris and the costumes of the theatrical play are being designed by Theoni Vachlioti-Aldredge.
After the completion of the performance a discussion will follow, in which the actor will talk about the all-time issues examined during the play.
Elliniko Theatro has organized tour during 2011-2013 in USA, Ukraine,Mexico, Belgium, South America, Russia, Poland and New Zealand.
