Greek-Turkish Two Nations Cup Rowing 2011 Race on October 23rd

The rowing race between National Teams of Turkey and Greece (8+ with coxswain) will begin at 10:00 on Sunday, October 23rd in the Golden Horn of Constantinople and is expected to witness huge enthusiasm.

The Greek team consists of winners at European Championships Nikos and Apostolos Gountoulas (2+), Tsilis Ioannis, Tzialas Georgios and Ioannis Christou (4+) and winners at Greek Championships Dionisios Agelopoulos, Alexandros Louloudis, Konstantinos Christomanos and Alexandros Chaitidis (with coxswain).

The Turkish team includes winners at Turkish Championships, such as: Onur Arabacı, Muhammet Canşi, Selahattin Gürsoy, Onat Kazaklı, Ogeday Girişken, Orhan Tahtacı, Zafer Gündoğdu, Ercan Kesim and Hasan Tayfun (with coxswain).

Two crews, one Greek and one Turkish, will complete a distance of 3,061 kilometers, having Galata Bridge as a starting point, and Phanar, where the Patriarchate is located as a crossing point. The race will finish at Balat Park.
