Greece Opens Up to Turkish Tourists

For the purposes of advertising the Dodecanese islands in Turkey and attracting more tourists from neighboring countries, the South Aegean Administrative District is organizing a special event in Antalya, Turkey, tomorrow Thursday the 15th of September, which addresses travel agencies, tourism businessmen, journalists etc.

Last week, the Vice Prefect of the District, Mrs. Despoina Diakostavrianou, formally invited the representatives of local bodies to attend and put an effort in perfectly organizing the Greek mission and generally the whole venture.

“This initiative is part of the overall strategic the South Aegean District follows concerning tourism. It aims at promoting our local tourism in new markets, from which our local economy can make a considerable profit”, pointed out Mrs. Diakostavrianou.

The event is a business meeting between tourism bodies of the Dodecanese and Antalya under the theme “Rhodes, Kos, Symi-Antalya: chances and prospects in the development of tourism business activities”. The event will take place in Antalya Hotel, Turkey.
