World peace day is an inspiring event for the municipality of Brusa! They have organized the Greek-Turkish Friendship Festival scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of September.
During the Festival many events will be held to enhance the Greek-Turkish friendship. More than 100 people are due to participate from Greece. The festival will host the meeting of refugees who left Greece and Turkey when the Population Exchange happened.
The two-day cultural event will have an opening ceremony with an exhibition of G. Kotzaeridis in the Cultural Center of Golyazi. There will also be a concert conducted by the Polyphony Orchestra of Niloufer Municipality. After that a parade a performance will follow of traditional dances will be presented by the Municipality of Veria.
The first day of the event there will be a performance by Turkish singer Leman Sam at Ihsaniye Square at 20:30. Leman Sam will travel the audience with Greek-Turkish melodies.
On the second day (September, 2) the festival will be held in another city called Görulke. Exhibitions, parades and beautiful music will be the focus of the festival again.
The event will end with and a Greek choir and unique musical performance from Lausanne.
This Greek-Turkish Friendship Festival will be held both in Brusa and Veria.
