Events are taking place this month in every city where there are associations of the Federation of Pontian Greek Associations in Europe (OSEPE). In cooperation with the associations of the states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Hesse, the Federation yesterday organized three central events.
During each, political scientist Michalis Charalampidis, editor of the newspaper “Pontiac Opinion” Savas Kalenteridis and lawyer Phailos Kranidiotis gave speeches relative to the genocide. Representatives of local communities, writers, intellectuals and representatives of the communities of Armenians and Assyrians were invited to all the celebrations, which are coordinated by the OSEPE committee in charge. The celebrations will be come to an end on the 28th of May, with the conference “Genocide of Christian Populations”, which is organized by Vaihingen University in Stuttgart.
