Cypriot Oncology Professor of the University of Liverpool John Neoptolemos, aspires to add one more medicine to the fight against cancer, with the creation of the Telo Van vaccine. The vaccine will start being experimentally prescribed to patients suffering from pancreas cancer. The Department of Surgery and Oncology of Liverpool University is today one of the best research and surgery centers of the world. Speaking to “Ethnos” newspaper, the professor explained that the vaccine he created actually wakens the immunitive system. As he supports, the cells communicate by sending chemical signals. The prescription of the vaccine experimentally starts these days to 1,100 patients who as professor says, are positive about this effort. The vaccine has the least side effects possible. The analysis and the evaluation of the results of the vaccine prescription will start in summer. In case they are evaluated as satisfactory, Telo Vac will ask for the approval of the European Medicines Agency.
