Turkey’s Red Crescent Assists Greek Orthodox Patriarchate

Turkish Red Crescent extended on Tuesday 8 tons of food stuffs, as well as stationary and office supplies and toys to children at the nursery of the Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, as Anatolia news agency reports.
Tekin Kucukali, the head of the Turkish Red Crescent, said pain had no language, religion or sect while handing over the assistance to the Greek Orthodox community in Istanbul. It was the first time Turkish Red Crescent extended assistance to the Greek Orthodox community in Istanbul.
Also speaking in the ceremony, Dositheos Anagnostopoulos, the spokesperson for the patriarchate, said every person could be needy irrespective of his/her religion or ethnical origin. ”Our main principle is to live together and try to solve our problems altogether whether we are Muslim, Christian or Jewish,” Anagnostopoulos said.
