Greek Islands Photo Exhibition at Greek Tourism Organization, Vienna

A photo exhibition dedicated to the unique light of the Greek islands was inaugurated at the offices of the Greek Tourism Organization in Vienna.  It will last until the 26th of April. “The light that never turns off” is the title of the exhibition of the Austrian artist, real estate agent and friend of Greece, Dr. Bernd Moldan. Representatives of tourism companies, friends of Greece, Greeks from abroad and the new Director General of the Secretariat of Greeks Abroad, Ambassador Petros Panagiotopoulos attended the opening of the exhibition. Moldan’s presentation consists of 25 photos of large dimensions, which reflect artist’s “impressions” from the Aegean Sea, focusing on the West Cyclades and “Small Cyclades”. Greece Tourism Organization (EOT) Director, Panagiotis Skondras talked about Moldan’s work and personality. He noted the uniqueness of Greek light and Cycladic landscapes, which invite, through these photos, people to visit Greek islands and Greece. Bernd Moldan has visited Greece 37 times and referring to his work, he says that “Greek light never ends, never turns off, and always remains in our hearts”. Later, the Austrian artist read parts of his book “Greek Memories” which, as he mentioned, includes his thoughts, in poems stories and photos, about Greece, the sun, the sea and its freedom.
