“Greek Week” Inaugurated in World’s Largest Mall, London

Yesterday, the Greek Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nikitiades inaugurated “Greek Week”  in London. The event takes place at Westfield, the world’s biggest shopping center.  It is visited by approximately 750.000 people daily.
The Greek stand is a big theme park that depicts all aspects of tourism in Greece. The Greek islands are represented by an artificial beach.  An imitation of an archaeological excavation gives the flavor of ancient Greek culture.  Two famous chefs offer visitors tasty Greek treats.
The program involves live shows of the play “Mama Mia”, and other performances by Greek artists. The British market is considered to be vital to Greek tourism.
