Turkish Airlines “targets” the market of North Greece inaugurating direct flights from Thessaloniki to Istanbul in May. The aim of this step, which is regarded as a part of its general expansion policy, is to give the Greek economy and tourism a boost through a large number of tourists coming from East. Three will be four flights a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The company did not announce the cost of the flights, or the type of the aircraft that will be carrying out the flights.
