Aiming at an increase of tourist flow from Austria, Greece participated vividly with an EOT stand at this year’s International Tourism Exhibition in Vienna. The event opens on Thursday and lasts until Sunday. The eight-hundred exhibitors from seven countries are expected to be visited by up to 150,00 visitors. Although the international economic crisis had a negative effect on the Austrian tourist flow, it seems Austrians have remained loyal to Greece. They have chosen it as a vacation destination, with an estimated 500,000 visitors.
For many years now Greece has placed in the top numbers, or even in first place by Austrian tourists when it comes to choosing a vacation destination.
