40th Int’l Film Festival Rotterdam Opens with Greek Movie “Wasted Youth”

The 40th International Film Festival Rotterdam will open on the evening of January 26th with the world premiere of the Greek movie ” Wasted Youth”. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time that a Greek movie opens a film festival like Rotterdam.

The organization counts on the Greek movie not only for the opening night but they also selected “Wasted Youth” for the Festival’s Tiger Awards Competition. The movie is set during a hot summer day in Athens. It is a film about the city of Athens who, in the middle of a fiscal crisis, is teetering on the brinck of a nervous breakdown.

On the 26th of January co-directors, producers and members of the cast such as Haris Markou, Ieronimos Kaletsanos, Jason Wastor and Themis Bazaka will be present at the glamorous opening.
