Population exchange museum opened in Turkey

A population exchange museum inaugurated in Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture on Monday.
The Foundation of Lausanne Treaty Emigrants, Catalya Municipality and European Capital of Culture Agency opened the “European Capital of Culture Population Exchange Museum”.
“This is the first time such a museum has opened in Turkey,” Catalca Mayor Cem Kara said.
Moreover, Carol Batchelor, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), to Turkey, said that this museum was not only symbolizing the agonies of people who had to leave their homes in Turkey and Greece, but also revealing the inhuman dimensions of all displaced people.
Also, Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarch said executives had to create atmospheres where people could lie in peace.
