“Başka Dilde Ask” a.k.a. “Love in Another Language” is directed by İlksen Başarır and has won four awards at the Cyprus International Film Festival.
The Turkish film which competed in six categories, won awards in four. The film won best actor, best director, best scenario and best film awards.
Başarır’s award winning film invites audiences to the world of the deaf through its plain but exciting depiction of the romance between Onur, a young deaf and mute man who works as a librarian and Zeynep, a call-center employee.
The film shows the difficulties the couple encounters in their relationship with one another and the difficulties they face in society.
