Friday’s draw for the UEFA Europa League play off round has paired PAOK FC with Aegean rivals Fenerbahce SK, as European football renews the rivalry between Greece and Turkey. The long standing rivalry between the two Balkan countries will once again relive itself on the club level as national pride becomes the motivation.
Greece’s PAOK will take on Turkey’s Fenerbahce on Thursday. The game will be held at Thessaloniki’s Toumba Stadium at 9:30 p.m. German Manuel Grafe will officiate the game.
The return match will be played in Istanbul at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on August 26th with Paolo Tagliavento of Italy as the referee.
