Greece’s Online Campaign for the Return of Parthenon’s Stolen Sculptures

500 years ago, a British ambassador, Lord Elgin removed and shredded a significant number of the Parthenon sculptures that are priceless and with sentimental value for the Greek nation and humanity. Most of the original sculptures are currently in the British Museum which is refusing to return them where they belong. Until recently the excuse was that Greece doesn’t have a suitable space to preserve them, but now the country built one of  the most modern museums around the world. There is now no excuse anymore. What Greece requires, what people are asking, is the obvious, to return the sculptures where they belong and most importantly, this unique monument to reunite the pieces after 2 centuries.

Those are the words of TV and Radio Personality Nikos Aliagas and journalist Helen Katritsi in the introductory video asking everyone to vote on the online poll. If Greece reaches a total of 1,000,001 participants in voting, we will be able to raise the issue in the European Parliament.
