Iron Mike Zambidis in Italy to fight against Warren Stevelmans

IMG_455Mike Zambidis accepted another challenge and will travel to Italy to fight against the South African Champion Warren Stevelmans, who lives and trains in Holland.

The 27 years old Stevelmans (aka “Chaka Zulu”) has a track record of 65 fights with 50 wins, 11 loses, 4 draws and 15 Kos, and was announced K-1 MAX Dutch Champion in 2008, something that gave him the chance to fight in the finals of K-1 MAX World in Japan.

This is the first fight for Mike Zambidis in 2010, and is for the “KICKBOXING SUPERSTAR – edition 19” tournament, that will take place on the 20th of March, at Sport Hall Palalido in Milano and will be under K-1 rules, at 70kg. The winner will qualify for the semi final show in November 2010 in Milano for KING OF THE RING MASTERS WORLD GRAND PRIX.

This will be the 159th fight in Iron Mike’s carrer, who already has 141 wins with 84 Kos. Last time he visited Italy was in 2003 when he won Wanlop SitPholek from Thailand and he was announced World Champion King of the Ring

Right after his return from Italy, the Greek Champion will announce the opening of “ZAMBIDIS CLUB”, his first school in Glyfada.
