Homer Moustidis, Greek state artist of the Soviet Union

?????? ???? : ?. ?????????His work was chosen to praise the greatness of socialism on the 50th and 60th anniversaries of the USSR throughout the world. In this way, Homer Moustidis (foto) found himself decorated with the Soviet Union’s silver medal for his contribution to the country.
Subsequently he came to Greece and had to adapt himself to the situation here. From Soviet glory and the large studio given to him by the state for artists considered distinguished by Moscow, to a basement workshop in Perea, Thessaloniki, Moustidis put social realism aside and devoted himself to icon paintings, which now travel as far as Havana, Paris, Rome and Las Vegas.
